Hub88, one of the top game aggregators in iGaming

For almost 2 years, I've worked at Hub88, Yolo Group's game aggregation division. The main product Hub88 offered was its game aggregation API, through which game suppliers could easily offer their games to iGaming operators, with almost no technical overhead.

Problem: Ever-growing operational workload

During my time there, Hub88 has more than quadrupled its business. This rapid growth drastically increased operational workload for all operational team members, from account managers and customer support agents, to integration specialists and accountants.

Solution: Self-serve platform that connects Suppliers and Operators

In order to relegate some of the workload the operational teams had, we have created a new product, called HubConnect, a self-serve platform for all partners, with a separate "zones" for each side: Supplier Zone and Operator Zone. Each zone offers a set of features that ensures daily operations can be conducted without too much work on operational teams.

Optimization of product detail page

With millions of active users, and tens of thousands of sales everyday, n11.com is one of the most popular shopping platforms in Turkey. During my time there as a UI designer, I've collaborated with UX designers, product managers, and developers, working on many projects that introduced new features, as well as optimizing existing user flows.

Problem: Low conversion rates with certain personas

Turkey is among the world’s most competitive markets in eCommerce industry. With this fierce competition, the secret to convert visits into orders lies in the little details of user experience design. And the product detail page (PDP), the penultimate step before a buyer finalizes an order, is maybe the most important step in this process.

The data collected by engineering team, combined with many user interviews conducted by our researchers, suggested that conversion rates were not optimal for two personas: the value hunters, who look for a bigger value for their money, and the researchers, who like to compare not only prices but features and quality.

Solution: A/B testing by emphasizing different pieces of information

A series of A/B tests were designed and implemented by the team that emphasized different selling points, checking their conversion rates to find the optimal ordering of the information that made these personas to buy the product they are looking at.

For the researchers, creating a horizontally scrollable section of product detail tags on the top of the PDP, where it was visible before scrolling down, proved the most effective

On the other hand, for value seekers, placing available coupons higher on the page and redesigning them to make them more eye-catching with more color, combined with emphasizing the partial payment options were the best performing changes.

ZBorsa, stocks and foreign exchange trading app for Ziraat Bankası

Ziraat Bankası, the largest public bank in Turkey, sought the expertise of ForInvest to revamp their stock trading app ZBorsa. Their app had an outdated interface and lacked several contemporary features that the client aimed to offer their valued customers.

Challenge: Using red as the primary color

Ziraat Bankası's branding heavily relies on its primary color: red. From their banking apps and their marketing materials to their branch interior designs, red is associated with Ziraat when it comes to banking sector.

Using the color red as a primary color in user interface design is always challenging. While it is often associated with warning or negativity, in the context of financial markets, it also represents the action of selling.

Alternative color schemes such as pink and teal, utilized by similar investment products to represent sell and buy actions, were considered but decided against, with regards to the clients's wishes to keep the experience familiar for their customers.

In the end, a single shade of red was picked for both primary actions and action to sell (Sat), paired with a green for buying (Al), and two shades of grey to complement them.

MetalsLive, base metal contracts and options terminal

MetalsLive is a data terminal for London Metals Exchange, where contracts and options on base metals are traded globally.

Challenge: Designing a terminal for a unique context

The context where MetalsLive would be used was different that other financial products I designed during my time at ForInvest. For most, the end-users were private investors who used their mobile devices or laptops to check occasionally how their financial portfolio was performing.

However for MetalsLive, target users were executives who dealt with metals trading, not as an investment venture, but for their manufacturing businesses. The most common context for them would be a giant TV screen (or combination of multiple monitors) in their office, where MetalsLive would be open all day, so they could keep an eye on latest data and news.

With that in mind, the terminal's pages were designed with a grid structure that fit the screen fully, without needing to scroll up and down. The users could place highly-customizable widgets in many different configurations, to fully customize their workspace.

Helping personal trainers launch and manage their online fitness businesses

Tendon is a product for fitness professionals to provide their services as personal trainers, by creating personalized workout schedules, healthy recipe collections etc., and staying connected to them throughout their fitness journey.

The product has two facades, the trainer-facing side, mainly via desktop web, providing a suite of tools that help trainers manage their businesses, and the client-facing side, via mobile apps, that allow clients to receive all the content their trainers had prepared for them.

In order to be able to support clients’ different needs, we have crafted Programs as content packages. These programs could be sold as one-time purchases, or included in subscription-based models. This allowed trainers to create different streams of income, a passive stream from the more affordable program sales, and an active stream from their premium customers who would be in contact with them throughout their workout calendar, receiving support, and even online training sessions.

Modules within programs offer a range of features to make sure that trainers can create the best resources for all things concerning their clients’ fitness plans. Modules include detailed workout plans with demonstration videos and precise set counts, and meal plans with recipes and food preparation videos.

Tendon also has some social features that allow trainers message their clients directly through the app for personal check-ins, as well as create online communities where their customer can share their fitness journey with each other.
